Over the years, we have searched for many answers to simple questions. What happens with the garbage? Where does the electricity in the power outlet come from? What about the water in the faucet? And what happens when you flush the toilet?
Most people probably have a good guess about this, but how much do you really know?
We have now, through a period of time, looked for the answer to where the heating in our homes come from – and when an Urban Explorer is looking for an answer, he ain’t afraid to get his hands dirty.
It started with an introduction at fjernvarme.dk (“Distric Heating Denmark”)
There, we learned all about power stations, pumping stations and all sorts of exciting things that make it possible for us to be warm day and night, all year round.
With all this knowledge, we have followed the energy’s way from the power plant to our front doors, and have gotten a great deal of interesting trips out of it.
It is quite amazing what goes on behind the curtain, just to make sure that we can turn on the hot water and the heater.
